Exactly 8 years before the descent of Omnipotence
Avemorph Forest
Waking up in a the middle of a sunlit forest, a young boy crawled to his feet. He was stark naked. The boy does not remember anything of his past. He looked around and noticed a little black cat a few paces away from him, looking in his direction. He tilted his head slightly to his right, studying the critter. The cat then started to scamper towards him.
"What is this furry little creature?" thought the boy silently to himself.
The cat stroked its fur onto his ankle, purring softly. The boy, being of ten years of age, picked up the innocent looking cat and caressed it. The cat continued to purred gently when suddenly it let out a loud yelp. This boy whom it assumed was lost, lonely and lily-white was remorselessly squeezing its neck and paws.

The cat unleashed a fury of swipes on the boy's arm, scratching his skin until he bled. It scowled in agony, noticing the cold look in his beady eyes that were like two ominous black holes. He glared back at it keenly, as if observing the little feline desperately struggling to free itself from his clutches. The boy only squeezed harder, only to withdraw a last breath from the poor creature.
"Interesting, it has stopped moving," the boy thought to himself. He appeared to ignore the wounds the cat had left on his arm.
The boy dropped the carcass onto the grass below and watched for awhile, waiting to see whether the cat would pick itself up and run away. Instead, it remained motionless.
Soon, a group of hunters from a nearby village found the boy and took him with them to their village. There, he was adopted by Dan and Irene Clarke, an old couple who took pity on the boy who has lost his memories. They took him in and named him Kalvin.
